So some Wands are unsuitable for either Battlemage or Warlock. Transfusion Warlock, for example, is incredibly OP. Try to find interesting synergies, and remember to heal with Soul Mark when possible. I recommend putting 4 - 7 SoU into staff, distribute the rest between. This can get boring after you have done every single possible Staff, so that's where Warlock comes in.įor Warlock, play. You will not regret it, and most enemies should die in 2/3 hits if you do it right. You will recharge it when attacking and proc an extra Enchantment depending on the Wand imbued.
SHATTERED PIXEL DUNGEON TRANSFUSION UPGRADE
In Battlemage, just put every single Upgrade into the Staff. Both are viable, however I find Battlemage is easier for beginners, and Warlock is fun later, as it has more varied gameplay and usability in Challenges. If this is still too hard, put every scroll you find into staff from floor 1. You only waste 1 potential Upgrade and it'll make things far easier.

If you can't easily get to Wandmaker without spending any SoU, use one. I have heard many people say "Mage is weak early game" or something similar. Using this technique, you can obtain a +20 Staff without Curse Infusion. My personal recommendation is not to use upgrades before it, dump SoU into the Wand, imbue a +1 Wand, reforge Wandmaker Wand at Blacksmith then finally imbue.

Wandmaker gives you a +1 - +3 Wand, use it carefully. The Staff's level is always the higher of: it's current level and Wands level +1 (but wand level +0 if Staff is unupgraded). Note that you can't Imbue cursed and/or unidentified wands. I have not written a PD guide before however as a developer and a frequent Mage player I believe I'm qualified to write this lol.
